Last revised by Jeremy Jones on 4 Apr 2023

The anterior ethmoid foramen is a small opening in the ethmoid bone. It is the anatomical border of the anterior and posterior ethmoid air cells. It transmits the anterior ethmoidal artery, vein and nerve.

The anterior ethmoid foramen is situated 25 mm away from the lacrimal crest, 12 mm anterior to the posterior ethmoidal foramen.
