Fetal macrocephaly

Fetal macrocephaly is a term given when the fetal head circumference lies above 2 standard deviations for the expected stage of gestation. While it can be associated with certain syndromic anomalies, in the absence of associated anomalies, it does not appear to be a significant risk factor for abnormal long-term neuropsychological development 1.
