Frontoethmoidal suture

Last revised by Craig Hacking on 27 Jul 2022

The frontoethmoidal suture is a short cranial suture located in the anterior cranial fossa, between the orbital process of frontal and orbital plate of ethmoid bones. It forms part of the medial wall of the orbit.

The anterior and posterior ethmoidal foramina are seen just superior to it, through which the respective arteries course through to mark the level of ethmoid roof or the floor of anterior cranial fossa.
