Hypoglobus refers to the inferior displacement of the globe in the orbit. It may or may not be associated with enophthalmos.
Causes include:
- fracture of the orbital floor (most common)
- silent sinus syndrome
- orbital masses
- orbital foreign bodies
- thyroid ophthalmopathy
