Ligamentum arteriosum calcification

Ligamentum arteriosum calcification is a common finding on chest CT scans in adults and increases in prevalence with increasing age and atherosclerosis. It can sometimes even be present in children 3.

Many patterns have been described which include:

  • punctate: considered commonest

  • curvilinear

  • clumped
