View Rohit Sharma's current disclosuresThe paint brush borders sign may be seen on MRI of a giant cell tumour, at the margin between the lesion and the normal bone. The sign specifically refers to the jagged interface as the tumour penetrates into the bone which mimics the profile of the bristles of a paint brush.
Presence of the paint brush borders sign has been shown to be a risk factor for local recurrence of giant cell tumour 1.
