The Rieger anomaly refers to the maldevelopment of the anterior chamber of the ocular globe. The iris and cornea do not form correctly, findings including:
- hypoplastic iris stroma
- corectopia: an off-center pupil in the iris
- colobomas of the iris (pseudopolycoria)
Patients are at increased risk of glaucoma and associated visual loss.
