Scala tympani

The scala tympani, also known as the tympanic duct, is the inferior most duct of the cochlea. It is filled with perilymph and communicates directly with the subarachnoid space via the perilymphatic duct.

It is separated from the scala media and scala vestibuli by the spiral lamina.
