See also is a special part of some articles. It is a section that is used to highlight useful additional articles that may be of interest to the reader. When present, it is one of the main subheadings.
On this page:
Location
The "See also" section is the final section in an article if it is present.
Structure
The content of the section is usually a bulleted list without any accompanying text. The list does not need to be introduced.
Types
Standard format
Where we refer to an article that expands upon the topic of a paragraph, we tend to use the format:
See: main article
Long format
This works in the majority of cases, although where there is more explanation needed, it may be more relevant to embody the link in prose:
This article discusses abdominal manifestations of sarcoidosis. A general discussion can be read in the main article on sarcoidosis.
Bulleted format
The main article refers to general information about TB and then links to the articles written for more specific manifestations of the disease, e.g. pulmonary manifestations of TB. Since there are many subarticles, the best way to achieve this is to use a nested bulleted list.
NB: the heading "Related pathology" is used for Anatomy articles not for Articles in general
