Solitary filling defect within a ureter, as seen on conventional IVU or CT IVU has some differentials, including:
- within the lumen
- calculus
- sloughed papilla
- blood clot
- benign polyp
- within the wall
When multiple filling defects are present, the differential will be slightly different. Please refer to the main article on multiple filling defects with a ureter.
