Ultrasound of the scrotal content demonstrates normal testes. On the left dilated vascular structure with flow are present consistent with a varicocele.
Case Discussion
Varicocoeles are common and usually asymptomatic and of no clinical importance. In this patient, the abnormality was palpated and associated with a general sense of heaviness on the left side.
