Fatty liver

Discussion:

Magnetic Resonance images shows diffuse fatty infiltration.

These are images taken on sequence so-called in-phase and out-of-phase sequences

Normally, the liver and spleen signal intensity don't change in these sequences, however, when there is fatty infiltration of liver, liver is "black" in the images out of phase when compared with the images in phase. As a point of comparison, the spleen does not drop signal in any of the images.
