Chronic rotator cuff tear with arthropathy

Presentation

Painfully restricted motion of the right upper arm.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Reduced acromiohumeral interval distance in keeping with a complete rotator cuff tear. Superior subluxation of the humeral head in the glenoid. Degenerative changes between the acromion and humeral head. 

Case Discussion

Findings are in line with chronic rotator cuff (most importantly supraspinatus muscle) tear and consequent arthropathy
