Presentation
Motor vehicle accident.
Patient Data
A minimally displaced oblique fracture through the middle third of the clavicle is demonstrated. The acromioclavicular joint, coracoclavicular distance and glenohumeral joint appear unremarkable.
An old fracture through the midshaft of the right clavicle is demonstrated with non-union. The fracture ends are hypertrophied and the proximal components is subluxed superior to the distal.
The non-union / pseudoarthrosis of the clavicle has been resected, and a plate and multiple screws applied with the near anatomical alignment.
Case Discussion
Typical appearances of a clavicular fracture with unusual non-union of the fracture requiring plate-and-screw internal fixation.
