What are the two most important findings in this case?
Crossed fused renal ectopia and duplicated IVC. Other findings are a possible enteric cyst along right psoas muscle, and four hepatic veins draining into IVC.
Which sided fused renal ectopia is more common?
Left-to-right ectopia is three times more common
Are the renal and caval anomalies independent or associated entities?
IVC duplication is commonly seen in association with crossed fused ectopia and circumaortic renal collar.
Right to left cross fused renal ectopia associated with duplication of the inferior vena cava. Additional findings include four draining hepatic veins into the inferior vena cava and a thin- walled cystic structure of fluid density adjacent to the right psoas muscle. This is likely to represent an enteric cyst.
