Grossly distended sub gluteus maximus bursa with disruption anteriorly leading to swelling and edema in the upper anterior thigh muscles.
There is also a distended sub gluteus medius bursa (arrow) and a labral tear with minor paralabral cyst (circle).
The gluteus medius tendon is partially disrupted at its trochanteric insertion laterally (but not superolaterally) and associated with minor bone marrow edema in the greater trochanter.
