Presentation

2 days increasing throbbing pain and swelling. On methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis.

Patient Data

Age: 47 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Carpal bones demonstrate advanced degenerative changes with scapholunate advanced collapse and proximal migration of the capitate. First metacarpophalangeal joint is partially subluxed. There is marked soft tissue swelling of the whole hand.
