A hypoechoic lesion is noted at the breast with radial extensions and no definite mass within.

Case Discussion

Post-surgical breast scar can be confused with infiltrating ductal carcinoma.

The surgical scar is a clue. Remember the area of distortion can be some way from the incision; surgeons dig around.

The clue is the lesion is hypoechoic and does not have a central mass lesion. There is no "effort" to tumor formation.
