Diffuse abdominal pain and weight loss.
Patient Data
The main finding is a prominent, spiculated nodal mass at the root of the mesentery. There is also focal nodular thickening of small intestine wall.

Case Discussion
Carcinoid tumors are neuroendocrine neoplasms of diffuse cellular system, and nowadays the term neuroendocrine tumor has been proposed for this entity 1.
Diagnosis is made at the mean age of 50 years. The most frequent locations of carcinoid tumors are the gastrointestinal tract (73.7%) and respiratory system (25.1%) 1.
The involvement of lymph nodes in small bowel carcinoid tumors occurs frequently, even for lesions smaller than 1 cm.
This case was pathologically proven.
