Presentation

Acute paraparesis.

Patient Data

Age: Adult
Gender: Male
mri

Long segment hyperintense signal seen on the T2WI, STIR images in the spinal cord from D1 to D7 vertebral segments, which shows hypointense on the T1w images. It involves more than 2/3rd circumference of the spinal cord. Mild expansion of the spinal cord is seen at these levels. No evidence of enhancement is seen on the post-contrast images.
