Bilateral sacroiliac joint widening is seen along with pubic symphysis diastasis.

Open book fracture of pelvis is the result of antro-posterior compression injury to the pelvis. This fracture consists of symphisis pubis diastasis or fracture of pubic rami, and disruption of the sacroiliac joints.
