SLAP tear - type III

History of trauma 2 months back

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Bucket-handle tear involving superior labrum is seen with fluid extending anterior to posterior of superior labrum, with labral cysts at both margins. Tear is not seen to extend to biceps attachment, suggesting type III SLAP tear.

Case Discussion

The findings are consistent of SLAP (superior labral anterior posterior)  tear - type III which are commonly complicated with labral cysts, as seen in this case.
