Post-primary pulmonary tuberculosis

Presentation

Work up for cough and breath shortness.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Severe bronchiectasis, cavitation and alveolar consolidation are noted at the upper lobe of left lung. Endobronchial spread along nearby airways is seen resulting in a relatively well-defined 2-4 mm nodules and branching lesions resembling tree in bud appearance. There are is also mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
