Multiple hepatic hemangiomas

Presentation

Hepatic focal lesions visualized on ultrasound.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Non-enhanced CT scan shows multiple hypoattenuating lesions in the liver. In arterial phase and venous phase contrast material enhanced CT scans show progressive, peripheral, globular enhancement, which is highly suggestive of hemangioma.

Case Discussion

This case shows the pathognomonic features of hepatic hemangiomas, namely, peripheral nodular enhancement and progressive centripetal fill-in.
