How to differentiate between the enhancing subependymal tubers and subependymal giant cell astrocytoma?
The most reliable is the increase in size in serial studies which favors the diagnosis of subependymal giant cell astrocytoma rather than tubers.
Multiple subepedymal plaques the largest one in the left side close to the foramen of Monro, some of them are enhancing after contrast administration. Other multiple cortical and subcortical areas of altered signal intensity suggesting cortical tubers.
Diagnosis: Tuberous sclerosis
