There are 2 acute intraparenchymal haematomas demonstrated within the left temporal and occipital lobes. The larger haematoma is within the left temporal lobe. The haematoma attenuates and contacts the left lateral ventricle. There is possibly a small amount of associated intraventricular haemorrhage. The other haematoma is within the left occipital lobe.
There is a small amount of vasogenic oedema surrounding the haematomas, with associated local mass-effect. There is only minimal midline shift to the right.
Elsewhere, grey-white matter differentiation elsewhere is preserved. There is prominence of the CSF spaces overlying the frontal lobes, in keeping with involutional change.
No scalp swelling or skull fracture demonstrated to suggest significant head trauma.
