What is vetebra plana?
A vertebra plana or pancake vertebra is term given when the vertebral body has lost almost its entire height. Thus, it is an advanced crush fracture.
The C6 vertebral body has collapsed, losing almost all vertical height with mild anterolisthesis of C5 on C6. Posterior elements appear spared.
In addition there is compression fracture of the superior endplate of the L3 vertebral body, and an ill-defined lucency/lytic lesion in the actetabulum.
