History of delayed motor and mental milestones and progressive head enlargement

Age: 2 years.
Gender: Female

Non-contrast computed tomography shows severe dilatation of the lateral ventricular system and third ventricle, which greatly reduces the brain parenchyma and an associated deformity of the cranial vault.  A VP shunt is in-situ. The fourth ventricle is normal.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates a severe hydrocephalus with a significant resultant skull vault deformity in the patient.
