Routine screening mammogram in a patient with no previous breast imaging.
The pertinent observation is the abnormally dense node on the left MLO view. It should catch your eye immediately. The second observation is the subtle increased density of the MLO view left breast over the left pectoral muscle compared to the right side.
Case Discussion
Stage IV breast carcinoma. Node abnormality can be size or density-related. The node was positive for metastatic cells on FNA.
