Case contributed by Frank Gaillard
Diagnosis almost certain

Note: This case has been tagged as "legacy" as it no longer meets image preparation and/or other case publication guidelines.

Two selected images demonstrate a large heterogeneous mass which crosses the corpus callosum into both frontal lobes.

Best seen on the coronal image is evidence of a previous left sided craniotomy and biopsy tract down to the lesion. Features are consistent with a butterfly glioma.

Case Discussion

Typical appearances of a butterfly glioma, with little possible differential. Pathologically proven.

Note: This case predates the recent (2016) revision WHO classification of CNS tumors and IDH status is not available. As such, this tumor would now be classified as a glioblastoma NOS.
