Penile fracture

Discussion:

This is a classical MR imaging features of transverse penile fracture.

Since, fracture depth is more than AP dimension, its considered a transverse fracture. At the same time, if AP dimension is more than depth, it is considered a longitudinal fracture.

Also, noted in this case, is the depth of fracture is not extending to urethra. Patient did not have hematuria, and urethra was found intact on surgical exploration.
