Mesentric panniculitis or sclerosing mesenteritis is non-specific inflammation of the mesentry which affects elderly people results in non specific abdominal pain and weight loss. Typically there is preservation of fat around the mesentric vessels on CT results in fat rign sign. The disease is usually self limiting the patient only receive supportive treatment.
