Presentation

A known case of eumycetoma

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The plain film shows swelling of the soft tissues of the foot with subtle changes to the tarsal bones.

MRI:

  • T2 weighted: multiple dots of low signal within the tarsal bones
  • STIR:  tarsal and basal metatarsal marrow edema
  • sagittal T1: multiple metatarsal bony low signal lesions
  • post-contrast: ring enhancement of the lesions
