What is meant by odontogenic?
In dental radiology, the terms odontogenic and non-odontogenic are commonly used. The former basically meants related to the dentition (teeth) and later not so. The terms are often used in classifying lesions. In this case odontomas are commonly associated with unerupted teeth and composed of teeth elements - and so is an odontogenic tumour.
