Chest X-ray shows sub-pleural reticular opacities that increase from the apex to the bases of the lungs.

CT scan shows the presence of peripheral reticular opacities associated with traction bronchiectasis and honeycombing that increase from the apex to the bases of the lungs.

Case Discussion

The radiological findings are compatible with usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP). The patient has already the diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
