CT showed minor edema but no calcification in the Lt occipital lobe ? cause

Slightly T1 hyperintense, T2 hypointense mass (arrrow) showing minimal susceptibility artefact, i.e. cacification and surrounding vasogenic-type edema without restriction of diffusion at the grey/white matter junction of the left occipital lobe. Minimal mass effect.

Case Discussion

The cyst as it degenerates and dies, sets up an inflammatory reaction that can act as an epileptic focus. Once dead and calcified these lesions are less likely to cause epilepsy and are often an incidental finding on CT brain performed for another clinical reason.
