Airway foreign body in child

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

C/o breathlessness. H/O 'eating' ground nuts 2 days back.

Patient Data

Age: about 3 yrs
Gender: Male
x-ray

Opaque left hemithorax is noted with mediastinal pull. 

Right lung herniation is noted to left side.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound showed left lung collapse. NO effusion.

In view of history and clinical back ground, left bronchus foreign body was suspected.

A ground nut was removed by bronchoscopy after few hrs. It was in left main bronchus.
