An encapsulated collection with mobile low-level internal echoes at the site of the swelling. Located in the subcutaneous plane, close to the fascia. Thin wall (1 - 1.5 mm) around the collection. No internal septa/ vascularity. Echogenic perilesional subcutaneous fat. A non-thrombosed subcutaneous vein deep to the lesion. Normal underlying muscles.
Case Discussion
Findings of post-vaccination subcutaneous abscess of the thigh. Surgery revealed an abscess.
