Left lower quadrant pain.

Patient Data

Age: 46
Gender: Male

Multiple diverticula of various sizes associated with the distal descending and sigmoid colon. Supero-medial to the proximal sigmoid colon is a rim enhancing collection with a short air-fluid level, highly concerning for a contained perforation. Circumferential wall thickening and pericolonic fat stranding associated with the sigmoid colon. No shoulder formation or discrete mass lesion. No lymphadenopathy or free intraperitoneal air.
