Mouth breather, recurrent sinusitis

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Computed tomography demonstrated a soft tissue mass that arises in the sphenoid sinus, widening the spheno-ethmoidal recess and extend to the left coana. In both floors of the maxillary sinuses are displayed a probable retention cyst.

Case Discussion

Although antrochoanal polyps are the most frequent, these polyps can also originate in the sphenoid sinus as in this case.
