Presentation

Left loin pain ? renal colic

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female
ct

No renal tract calculus is identified. The ureters and kidneys are non-dilated and there is no fat stranding surrounding the kidneys or ureters. The urinary bladder is unremarkable.

Dilated left fallopian tube. This is more severe on the CT 2 years prior.

Uncomplicated sigmoid diverticulosis. ? previous gastric surgery. Incidental left adrenal gland nodule 2 cm in size with average density -10 HU in keeping with an adrenal adenoma. Cholecystectomy clips.

Conclusion

  • No renal tract pathology demonstrated.
  • Dilated left fallopian tube in keeping with chronic hydrosalpinx. US pelvis advised if there are pelvic symptoms.

Case Discussion

Chronic hydrosalpinx. The patient had been investigated by gynecology who drained it but could not determine a cause.
