Where is the lesion on this scan?
There is an irregularity in the left temporal lobe.
How would you describe the appearance of it?
There is an lesion with a hypodense, irregular centre and a thick hyperdense border. When contrast is given (the second scan) the border enhances.
What do you think this is likely to be?
Given this appearance and with the history of new-onset seizures, this is likely to be a brain tumour.
Irregular hypodensity in left temporal lobe. Thickened hyperdense border which enhances with contrast. Some compression of lateral ventricle but no midline shift.
No haemorrhage or acute infarct. No extra-axial haemorrhage or collections. No bony injuries.
