Age: 30
Gender: Female

There are four lumbar-type vertebral bodies and one transitional vertebra characterized as an assimilation of L5 to the sacrum. 

Case Discussion

Assimilation of L5 to the sacrum is more common than lumbarization of S1, occurring in ~17% of the population.
