The swelling is a well-defined thin wall predominantly anechoic cyst in subcutaneous plane of suprapatellar knee region.
Few thin internal septa and a fat globule within lesion.
Lesion wall/septa do not show vascularity.
Size: 36 x 32 x 13 mm
No suprapatellar knee effusion is noted.
Case Discussion
Findings favor post-traumatic soft tissue cyst in subcutaneous plane of anterior knee.
If morphologically-similar lesion is noted in greater trochanteric region along with trauma history; it is called a Morel Lavallée lesion.
