Age: 30
Gender: Female

Well-defined expansile lytic lesion of the right maxilla. 

Expansile lytic lesion in the right maxilla with thin surrounding sclerosis and internal soft tissue density. It extends into the right maxillary sinus.

HISTOPATHOLOGY MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION:

The section shows fragments of a cystic lesion. Part of the luminal epithelium has non specific features but part is typical of a keratocystic odontogenic tumor ie a thin squamous epithelium with cuboidal basal layer, palisaded basal nuclei and parakeratinised surface.

DIAGNOSIS: Right maxilla - keratocystic odontic tumor.
