Presentation

Left sided abdominal pain and fever.

Patient Data

Age: 40
Gender: Male

Circumferential wall thickening of the sigmoid colon with prominent surrounding inflammatory stranding and multiple diverticulae. At the left aspect of this segment there is a focal 2cm collection containing fluid and multiple locules of gas consistent with localized perforation.
