Presentation

Elbow pain and swelling after a fall.

Patient Data

Gender: Male
x-ray

The medial epicondyle ossific nucleus is avulsed with overlying soft tissue swelling. There is no associated fracture of the humeral metaphysis. There is no dislocation. Epiphyses of capitellum and radial head are normal.

Findings of medial epicondyle avulsion fracture of the elbow. It is the most common avulsion injury of the elbow in children and adolescents.
