  • non visualization of left hemidiaphragm with apparent elevation
  • blunted left cardiophrenic and costophrenic angles.
  • cystic air spaces seen behind the left heart silhouette and in the left lower zone with increased radio opacity along the peripheral third of the left lower zone.

  • cystic bronchiectatic changes of left lower lobe. 
  • peripheral lung consolidation distal to bronchiectatic changes. 
  • decreased left lower lobe volume. 
  • compensatory hyperinflation of left upper lobe. 

Case Discussion

Patients with bronchiectatic changes are prone for secondary infections and are frequent visitors in the chest department.
