Presentation
Patient fell off a horse 2 weeks ago and had ongoing pain and tenderness on the medial aspect of the left knee and the medial collateral ligament.
Patient Data
There is a spur formation just above the medial femoral condyle indicative of an osteochondroma.
A transverse fracture at the tip of the spur with displacement laterally and inferiorly is identified.
There is no associated soft tissue swelling.
The articular surfaces are congruent.
Alignment is anatomical.
The joint spaces are preserved.
The patella is normal in position.
No joint effusion is evident.
Case Discussion
There is a fracture of the tip of the osteochondroma.
