Cerebellopontine angle lipoma

Presentation

Progressively hearing loss and humming for one year.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years old
Gender: Female
mri

There is sharp-bordered, formless extra-axial lesion at right cerebellopontine angle. Lesion has similar signal intensity with fat tissue in all sequences - T1 and T2 hyperintensity with loss of signal on fat suppression sequence. 

Case Discussion

Cerebellopontine angle lipomas accounted for 10% of intracranial lipomas, and like all other lipomas, demonstrate fat-like signal on all MRI sequences.
